Help! What am I doing wrong?

Popped the case back off to change a battery. Was very tight. Can I get it back on? No!

Is aligned fine with the crown stem
    Tried by had
Tried with a piece of wood to get more pressure
Tried with a case back press

    No joy

Just one side or another will go in, but it won't "click" into place.

Could I have deformed the case back slightly? Any other ideas?

    Thanks in advance...

    timex by any chance ?

some times case backs are hard to go on you just need more force me I use a cloth for the top and bottom press and make sure right size and give it some welly ..but some time crystals will pop if not the right back press size

but some are hard to keep the water seal intact

    It's my Ben Sherman

Even with my full weight on the press it won't go...

what sort of press you got ?

this is what I use ?

this might be a better option maybe

looks like you could line it up easier and put all over pressure in one go

don't think you damaged the case back just think tight fit

    2 thumbs up !!

You may want to give it the big chill again the next time you want to remove the back.

An especially nifty thing to have on hand is a frost spray (like one might have to troubleshoot electronics). Makes it easy to apply the cold topically. Alternatively, if one has compressed air in a can, it can be turned upside down and work exactly like a frost spray.

20 mins in the freezer was enough...

    Great idea..
