It's chock full of fruit- lamb and fig, pigeon and apricot, chicken and lemons, prunes, preserved lemons and on and on.

Tomatoes? Everyone must have had tomatoes with savoury food. Lemons? Ham and pineapple? Turkey and red currents? Fruit chutney?

Ah. Lemons and limes I'm fine with; I suppose it's more sweet fruit I don't like in food.

Tomatoes don't count--they're fruit in name only, really.

I've had ham and pineapple on a pizza. Not a fan. I've had mango salsa, mango chutney; not a fan. It feels like they went out of their way to ruin one of the best tasting fruits and the dish they put it on.

I personally don't think you should go by mango salsa. In general it is oversold and it underdelivers. more than 90% of the time mango salsa is a waste of a good mango.
