    Found a NOS crystal thanks to a member on SCWF on yahoo auctions. He was ordering stuff and came across one. Asked if I wanted it so I said yes.
    Got it for 3000Yen

    Started the cleanup ready for the arrival.



    Love the way the dial changes colour....



    Was a bit filthy



    Looks like I got to it just in time. The green gunge of water ingress. Only on the reverse lip of dial thankfully.

    thats one of the good things as the crystal is separate so easy to swap out

    Yeah but
    A) only one on planet earth so I better not scratch or break it

    B) when cleaning the case out I found what looks to be the remnants of a gasket that seals the crystal from the case. it sits on top of the edges of the crystal. Doubt I'll ever find one of those


    The normal sandwiched gasket between bottom of crystal and caseback/movement holder I have though.

    Right, the new crystal is here.

    Soon as breakfast is over and my eyes have adjusted to the sun, I'll do a test fit
