    My First Breilting

So, after admiring Breitlings for years, I finally got one.

When I think Breitling, three quintessential images come to mind. The Navitimer. The classic, timeless Breitling chronograph. Gorgeous in its own right, up there with the other idols of the chronograph world, the Monaco, Speedmaster, El Primero, and Daytona. The retro and stunning SuperOcean Heritage. And a Breitling anadigi, usually an Emergency, since I'm a Man vs. Wild fan.

Today, I took delivery of one of those archetypal Breitlings. The anadigi. Not an Emergency, but the seemingly infinitely more wearable Breitling B-1:

Right now this is the only photo of it. My brother brought home the package and I opened at home after I got back from dinner, so I was and still am a little drunk. But I can already tell this watch and I will have a long, long relationship.

Looks in great condition from the photo, and as a bonus you get a whole new sub forum to post in!

Hope you are enjoying your new watch buzz.

The B-1 rocks and looks great paired with the Speedy. Feel free to post more pics when you can.

I really love it so far. When I was at Tourneau a couple of years ago to look at IWCs and Panerais, I knew that a Breitling was in my future. The Panerais and IWCs just disappeared in their display cases.

And now I've got Omega, TAG Heuer, and Breitling in the stable. It's a nice, if shallow, feeling.

I've got a thing for acronyms. So you have B.O.T.H. with that list!

    I'm going for a B.O.R.I.N.G. collection....

Breitling (SOP but want a Skyland or maybe a Navi)
    Rolex (Pepsi GMT)
Omega (wanted the Dynamic then saw it in person so I don't know now...)
    IWC (Portuguese or Aquatimer)
    N. (Not sure, not a Nomos fan...)
G (not sure here either. Maybe GO or Glycine)

Can't say I'm likely to end up with an IWC. But Rolex...the Daytona, DeepSea, and Sub C no date all interest me. Rolex is definitely in my future. Much later in my future, but it's there.

Don't see myself with a Nomos either. Eventually I'll get a dress piece. But probably not a Nomos.

Give IWC another shot. They make some lovely watches and the lower end of each line, represents considerable bang for the buck. I offer my 3717 Spitfire chrono as evidence - by far the most consistently accurate of all my watches +2.5 to +4 seconds perday for almost 3 years.

Great choices, I'm not a Rolex guy yet but that would be my short list.
Ebels (lots), IWC, Omega, FC, Eterna, Tag, Invicta, Movado
