Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes.
This is our 21st anniversary., and she has been very supportive of almost everything I do, including this crazy hobby - she knows when to let go, and when to put her foot down (so to speak). Example, when I asked her opinion on a potential purchase, she helps with questions like "is this in line with the theme of your collection", "how would prospective watch A differ from B", should you save up for that watch you have been eyeing on?"....stuff like that. What more can I ask for??
The micro rotor is indeed something different. The watch has a power reserve of 65 hrs, and the sun burst dial is really something to look at. Have not really tested its accuracy, but it shouldn't be too far off.
Once again, thanks for reading and the well wishes. After this purchase, I am slowing down for the rest of the year. I am now taking my time to explore some of the recommendations I received from some of you from my earlier thread on re-issues. This will keep me busy..
Have a good weekend (what ever is left)!

Good on you. Both of you, that is. Once more: congratulations to the two of you.
My wife doesn't have a sister, but yours pretty much sounds like the one she never had .... keepers for sure

Remembering this thread, when I was passing an AD yesterday I stopped to look at the Chopard display. My eye especially caught by this:
The photos only begin to convey how delicious the texture of the dial, with the numerals gently rising up in a beautiful rounded way. (The stock photo on the website fails utterly)

While I was browsing, this caught my attention almost immediately.....
It's the most accurate Moon phase watch out there (yes, I know, it is probably the most useless complication as well....).
