The flightmaster was probably Omega's last attempt to offer the ultimate (mechanical) aviator watch of its era (1969) A chronograph, a 12H GMT hand and an internal rotating bezel were not an usual combo. The quartz Speedmaster Professional X-33 (initially designed as a "flightmaster") was its natural successor, as we all know.
Some additional data: cal. 911 (based on the cal. 861); lenght: 52,25mm; width (w/ crown): 45.55mm; width (w/o crown) 42.6mm; thickness: 15.65mm: weight (including the metal bracelet) 139g.
