Dixan - the man is a class act and very knowledgeable too. Several years ago, Dixan was living overseas and we chatted about short gator-straps he had found in a little "hole-in-the-wall shop". At very, very affordable prices. He offered to go there again and purchase two for me

It looks like he now only visits the sales corner (mostly selling or trading) and he no longer seems to post. With 6,184 posts to his name since October 2009, maybe he has said all there is to say?

I have never met the man personally, but felt no hesitation to send $$ in exchange for (t)his 3572.50 Speedmaster Professional Mitsokoshi Conversion; it was indeed mint and perfect as described and shown in pictures



PS - I could adopt the m.o. of several on IWL and in this thread and put all the things I want to say right now in connection to the topic of the thread in separate posts, earning me the much coveted prolific poster award much sooner than by sticking to my personal m.o.

In all honesty, I enjoyed some of his post even though they weren't short. I learned a lot about Gallet in that thread.

IMO his ONLY posts were about Gallet. I remember a thread about the oldest (still active)watch-brand, and i replied "Gallet", others disagreed, but then came tony, right after EVERY post he put down one of his long replies using lots of colours... I think the poor guy did not sleep for a week or so untill the thread died
