Harper Lee Releasing 2nd Novel
No longer a one hit wonder I guess, even if that one hit won a Pulitzer.

I'm looking forward to it.

There's going to be some serious pressure on that second book.
To Kill A Mockingbird is one of the greatest books ever written, can you imagine following that after such a long time?

I loved To Kill a Mockingbird. I have high hopes.

Evidently this book was written before TKaM and is only now being released. Nell is in her 90s and not writing anymore.
"Rediscovered last fall, "Go Set a Watchman" is essentially a sequel to "To Kill a Mockingbird," although it was finished earlier. The 304-page book will be Lee's second, and the first new work in more than 50 years."

I was excited at first, too, and I hope all is good, but there is talk...

Above notwithstanding, I'm looking forward to buying and reading it in July.

I'll certainly be interested in reading it. Come to think of it I need to reread TKAM.
You know she still (deservedly) makes $9,000 a day in royalties.

I wonder if it's a bunch of first draft and abandoned stuff that has been scrabbed together into a novel by someone looking for a quick profit.
