I admire the engineering of it, but as a watch....... No thanks.

    I know, right?

Kinda like: "I appreciate her as a woman, but as a potential spouse? No thanks."

Very polarizing brand, but I like what they do and if I had that kind of money to drop on a watch, I would have a few for sure. I know they are not your average watch look, but I'm sure I would spend most of my day looking at those amazing movements doing their thing. They are amazing micro machines!

I think all their watches have something special, but the EMC is a bit of a different animal. I like it quite much.

Oh, and it's Urwerk, not Uhrwerk

That watch, ugly or not, certainly took some serious engineering.

    Hell yeah.

I appreciate it for that, just as some people appreciate a Patek for its symbolic value.
Watches are no longer watches beyond a certain point of whatever excess.

This Urwerk, and watches like this, may not be something I would want to wear every day, but then, they are not designed for everyday wear.
Not really. Maybe every day appreciation, and... bragging,

For some people, this is an everyday watch...

Just held it in my hand less than 5 minutes ago...

I think I'd pick urwerk over this
