Are you my long lost brother? After reading this thread I started thinking exactly that. You can pop the cylclops off with a lighter and a credit card, I gather. Or just buy another crystal.

don't think a lighter is hot enough
mate of mine used a cutting torch and hit it for a second or 2...then swiped it off
