    On the right sub-dial is there a significance to the three long markers at 3 6 and 9 minutes (I guess it is minutes)
    MB2, SOH, Aquascope, Tangente, MM300, Blackbay, North Flag, Officer, Visitor.

    Yes and you can find these marks on a lot of chronographs. They were used to help you control telephone calls that were divided into 3 minute periods.
