I used to think that, if/when I lost my hair, I'd lose it in a cool way like Jack Nicholson. But that surveillance monitor behind the counter at my local St Vinnie's showed a man with a pale circle on the crown of his head, standing at the counter. I remember reaching up to touch the back of my head. And I saw the guy on the screen do the same. Awful friggin' way to find out I was losing my hair.
Once it starts going, boys, you get used to the fact pretty quick.
Luckily, we have Mr Connery and Mr Ed Harris as Patron Saints. And nobody, full head of hair or otherwise, should mess with them.

MIne has taken 25 odd years of slowly thinning but a friend of mine went from full head of hair to totally bald in a matter of three weeks. Now that was traumatic for him being in his late 20's at the time.

While we're on the subject of balding tough guys let's not forget John Travolta ....

PS I'm lucky to be in the cool Jack Nicholson camp myself. just saying ..
