    Just thought I would share..

Funny little chat with a sales lady at an AD today...

Bit of window shopping, choosing my next Rolex (Explorer or blue faced OP seeing as you asked). The sales lady popped out and asked my wife if she would like to come in and try a few on. She showed the lady hers and said she was fine thanks as she had one. The lady kept trying, and said that sometimes that is how a collection starts, so there is no harm in trying a few others. As my wife politely declined she turned her attention to me, and asked "don't you have a Rolex yet sir?"...

Couldn't help my self as I flashed her my Speedy and said "yes, but I'm wearing my best watch today". It was obviously a bit tongue in cheek, but she recovered well with "oh, I love Omega, but we don't carry them here anymore".

At least she could recognise a watch at a glance! Turns out that although she also sells Tags they don't appeal to either of us, but she is a bit of a Breitling fan.

But by far the biggest surprise was that I resisted for now and didn't buy! Surprised myself! I don't usually have any self control, especially if the cash is there. By the way, the new Cellinis are simply stunning in the metal..

So you are down to 2 choices, cash is in hand and you still walk out without a new watch? That's remarkable!

I would at least have gotten distracted by something else or even bought another watch on the way to the store. Self control and watch buying do not go hand in hand for me.

Very nice. But is it just called an Oyster Perpetual? Doesn't Rolex put that on like every watch they make?
