at a guess possible need to remove hands dial to get at it as has four screws on the dial so might be that way maybe not sure I had one the same and flog it in the end because it seem like to much work

Cheers Mark, I did wonder if I'd have to get behind the dial to release it.

Yeah, it's certainly no money maker; but I get a kick out of bringing them back to life...... Besides, it's good 'therapy' for me and it keeps me off the streets.

don't know about that bought mine faulty then sold it as faulty and still double my money

Doesn't look like it.
Still none the wiser regarding removing button.

hmmm gut says button stays and the ring comes of with it on... hmmm got a back shot of it really though once the dial came off there would have been a couple of clamps to remove and it would have lifted out crown and all ..
had one watch and the crown was fixed once in... it was never coming out again ... hmmm will have to have a think on it
