Hmm. I've always pronounced "Doxa" with a long O, like "doe".

Wait a second, something that didn't occur to me, now you have me thinking.

This was the reply from the company when someone asked this on WUS:

Hi, the single vowel "O" is different to pronounce in English. The nearest "O" is in "more". So it would be DOCKE-SA, then I would shorten the "O" a bit

    DOXA S.A.

So if I read that right, it should sound like doke(as in coke) sa. I like it, had a smoother sound to it. 👍

I have always pronounced it Dokesa. I will admit that my understanding of vowels and how they are spoken by the Swiss is next to nil. I have always gone to Google to search for lists that explain how to say the names. Jmho

Here in the USA, all the Collectors I know of say it the way you mention as your first thought Dox (ox) ah. But the Swiss do say it differently. Having heard one of the Jenny (pronounced sort of like Yanni) family (owners of the brand for some time now) pronounce Doxa in a video once, it is sort of a semi-long O, about halfway between our Dox (ox) ah and your second choice Dough ah except you lost the X, which is still there. SO sort of Doughx-uh, but a slightly shorter O sound.

One could say it "doesn't translate directly", as the sound they use isn't really part of our version of English. Docks-uh works just fine.
