Omega mocks the intelligence of their client's..

Let me start this thread by apologizing to the Omega-fans who read this

That being said, how stupid do they think that people are? Why does there have to be an arrow on the end of the hand??? To point out the time?? Better lume when i am @ -200 meters nightdiving? C'mon, if Flik-flak did it, i was ok with it, but i am not retarded, i know where the hand points at WITHOUT a stupid arrow on the end of it! If they search for legability, then put a (lumed?) needle on top of the hand or smtn...

What's next? A hand with a pointing finger? This is the dealbreaker for me on any AT. I would own every colour of dial if it weren't for these odd hands...

You may also want to have a go at Breitling fans as well, since the arrow hands were used on both Omega and Breitling models of the 1950s. I don't think these brands did it because they thought/think we're stupid. I think it had more to do with the Fifties being the Atomic Age, and arrow motifs were used in numerous product designs back then. All of the Omega (Planet Ocean/AquaTerra/Railmaster) re-editions and Breitling ones (SuperOcean Heritage) obviously drew on their company histories.

Here's another one- the IWC DaVinci range that was released about 2008-2009 used hour and minute hands that were supposed to replicate the look of fountain pen nibs.

Maybe they expect us all to write out the time by hand whenever we look at the watch.
