Looks like they're back with some new models in the works:

They build some stout dive watches. Nice to see something new from them.

    Looks great !

Yes, I remember Korsbeck, Kremke, Kobold when they were all starting out. The golden age of boutique watches, all thanks the THE GREAT EDDIE PLATTS who proved it possible to build a unique, solid, genuine automatic dive watch for less money than the competition. The question is -- is there anyone on this forum who does not remember the Dreadnought ?

Big fan of Korsbek, and really excited about their new smaller offerings...I'll be looking at their new models for sure.

Though I respect its place in dive watch history, I never warmed to the Dreadnought myself. Given where the prices went, I'm glad I wasn't bitten by the bug.

Hard to believe it's been almost 12 years! http://www.prs2dreadnought.com/

The GREAT ??? Platts is a pompous jerkwad, who proved you can build a watch and then treat people like garbage...thinks he's the messiah of horology I've never had the displeasure of dealing with a more arrogant, and rude individual in my life...and his forum is a bunch of knee jerk a$$ kissers, that worship whatever spew comes from his mouth

I wouldn't own one of his pieces, if it was given to me wrapped in a $50 bill

Yes you're probably right, I could have sugar-coated that a bit for everyone

I think the real problem is his attitude towards people, I've dealt with many owners & service people in the watch business...99% of them went out of their way to communicate well, be friendly, answer any questions pertaining to their product. They understand that customer service, and return customers grow their business...he certainly doesn't follow conventional business practice.

All you have to do is Google his name or brand, and see pages of people that don't like or respect his manner of communication or service.....so it's not just me, or a personality conflict between the 2 of us....he is a jerkwad
