RETRO funk... 70's style: ORIENT and GIGANDET

I'm not really big on retro anything actually.
But I saw these and I just had to get them.

First, one from the ORIENT NEO70's, with cut glass and raised indices, + just a smidgen of gold. SCHWING!

And then a few more Gigandet chronos:

I don't mind the Orient, but the Gigandet is where it's at!

The Orient has a definite Rado vibe, and the Gigandet chronos look great on those different straps. Congrats!

Gigandet used to hang out with Wakmann and Breitling in the 60's and 70's.
    Not exactly nothings.

Then it died a natural death.

Now, resurrected... possibly / probably under some Chinese ownership according to rumors.

I really want to like those Gigandet and other watches like them, but I wish they didn't suffer so much from smushed dial syndrome.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.
