Rashford potentially out until October due to shoulder surgery. United ought to offload him to Liverpool at a cut rate price.

Freakin Granit Xhaka @#$!
Why do they insist on keeping him?
That’s how bad he is, I had to go and resurrect this old thread just to vent.

Nope, not an Ipswich supporter.
Or is it something else?

That result was unexpected (to say the least)

Klopp’s announcement?
It was devastating, to be sure. Perhaps it will be galvanizing to the team, hopefully we can end this season with another title for him and the players at the end of his time here. Then, build the man a statue and bring in Xabi Alonso.

Alonso is a natural fit but he must be pretty content where he is.

He’s also apparently said before that he would leave to coach Liverpool, Bayern, or Real. I can’t imagine any rational manager, let alone a former and beloved player, turning down the opportunity to go from Leverkusen to Liverpool. If that’s not a challenge you’re champing at the bit to tackle, what kind of manager are you?

Yeah. I don't mind admitting that it has hit me harder than I thought it would. Partly it's the shock but I think it's also realising how irreplaceable he will be. Elite level coach, yeah, but what a man and what a perfect fit.
I adore Xabi Alonso, and he would have more goodwill, time and support than any other potential candidate but I worry for anyone trying following Kloppo.
