Oh my, Navas with a colossal blunder and Juventus goes level on aggregate. In Madrid. This year's UCL has been full of great matches.

Now Buffon loses his head and is sent off in stoppage time. What a game and what a day for the goalkeepers.

The foul was on Vazquez. Looked a penalty to me.

I think it was a bit soft, but I’ve seen softer called.

I'm surprised at all the debate about the penalty call. Vasquez went down easily, but Benatia came through him from behind and kicked him in the chest. Even if he'd gotten the ball, which you can see from the flight of it that he didn't, it was a foul. Quite a good attempt at a making a clean clearance, but if this happened in the middle of the pitch in the 15th minute nobody would be debating that it was a foul. It's unfortunate to see the referee having such an impact late in a crucial game, but at least this was a real foul not someone dragging their leg and flopping like a fish.

    Buffon's comments:

"Clearly you cannot have a heart in your chest, but a garbage bin. On top of that, if you don't have the character to walk on a pitch like this in a stadium like this, you can sit in the stands with your wife, your kids, drinking your Sprite and eating crisps.

"You cannot ruin the dreams of a team. I could have told the referee anything at that moment, but he had to understand the degree of the disaster he was creating. If you can't handle the pressure and have the courage to make a decision, then you should just sit in the stands and eat your crisps."
