Swiss Watch Enthusiast
I am here to echo IB's sentiments word for word basically. The 8x chrono Astrons are Really Nice Watches. The ONLY thing they loose to their 7x series counterparts is not having the 3D world motif on the dial but then again that may have made things look a bit busy with the subdials and all.
There are HEAPS of models to go for. If you go for a bracelet model, I highly recommend the titanium versions - it helps with the weight and the multi-link setup is extremely high quality. I also think the busier look compliments the overall design of the watch better.

I am going through a similar thought process.
I keep saving my current favorite as the lock screen on my phone.
I will see which one is still there at purchase time.
I am also using a pintrest board to save watch pics next to each other.
For me the extra 3mm on the Explorer 1 beats the oyster perpetual.

What? No Zenith? Ok, whatever. Go with the Explorer. You listed it first for a reason, I presume.

Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

I thought the Explorer might be popular, but perhaps not to this degree....
Still interested in thoughts from anyone who owns of these...

I tried on the Explorer 1. The fit without any adjustments was perfect. My only hesitation is the shiny numerals.
