Top Gear tests a Brietling-gps watch

On episode 6, wich aired yesterday on BBC, Hammond tests the Brietling gps watch. If you pull the screwy things on the lug's, the watch wil transmit a gps-signal that functions a a distress-signal, so you can be rescued from the horrible situation you are in.

Doesn't it cost like 10k for the emergency callout? Would be very hard not to use it when you're stuck on London after you miss the last train...

In this particular case the cost was even bigger than 10k i presume. Isn't that show made with YOUR tax-money? Well, at least it's tax-money well spend. Better spend it on TG than on silly projects. Also the Brits provide worldwide entertainement with this show. Much better than worldwide colonisation anyway

would guess Hammond got himself a nice 'freebie' out of that - with regards to getting oneself out of tricky situations i would think it would be of more use to Clarkson who is always putting his foot in it
