Went to buy a Zenith but ended up with this:

    G'day all.

Recently I had been eyeing off an El Primero Original 1969:

I had this incessant urge to buy this watch and I thought that during the weekend o would definitely walk out with it.

Before I went to the AD I decided to walk into an AD that sold Rolex. I've seen the pictures of the Rolex Submariner and I thought I'd see what the fuss was about and why everyone seemed to be raving about it. The sales rep brought out the watch and I finally got to see it in the flesh. And boy was I in awe. I mean wow, it was really beautiful, it's an indescribable feeling.

Needless to say I walked out of the AD with a brand new Rolex Submariner No Date 114060. I guess having 12 months interest free and the fact the they might increase the price soon tipped me over the Zenith.

I actually can't believe I'd ever own a Rolex, it always seemed like it was a watch that only people who didn't understand watches would buy. I had now totally forgotten that I was meant to get that Zenith that I was suppose to buy.

Now I finally understand the lure of Rolex:

Wow! That was quite a switch. Either way, it was had to go wrong. I love the look of the no-date Sub.

Is the Orient now smiling at you very sweetly and hopefully?

Nice score. Love the no date here as well.

That exact same model was my first Rolex. Be careful, because there is a good chance that others (Rolex) might follow...

    Congratulations!
