    This or That?

My strap collection for lack of a better term is getting out of control. I do enjoy swapping things around sometimes, but at the same time want to narrow things down and bit and I'll flip some of them. Was thinking I'd post up a watch at a time with a couple different options and get some opinions from you fine folks and see if there is a consensus then other straps will hit the chopping block.

First up: Aquadive BS500 Fleurier on mesh and then grey elephant

I'm also open to other suggestions for strap choices as well.

I thought you were kidding when you told me previously this was elephant. No CITES issues with importing this (or were these indigenous elephants)?

I think the mesh fits the intended use of the watch better than elephant. Also, how the **** do you end up with an elephant strap?

I have 5 or 6 elephant straps. No CITES concerns as long as the supplier has the appropriate paperwork available should customs request it. This particular hide was already in the US when I had the strap made. They are EXTREMELY comfortable to wear, some species more so than others just like anything else. There hasn't been an indigenous elephant in Canada since the woolly mammoths died off

Here's a picture that shows the elephant a bit better.

I have a hippo strap but it is more of a suede finish.

I'll keep an eye out if any of those elephants come up on the sales thread.

    Mesh for me.

I'd like to get a Woolly mammoths strap, to go along with my mammoths tooth knife

Mesh for me too. The extra metal of the bracelet balances out the big case and dial better for me than the elephant.
