Thread: What world records do YOU hold?

What world records do YOU hold?

The Metro (a pretty terrible English newspaper) is today claiming that the world's longest Hula Hoop has been sold on eBay for just over £500.
    http://metro.co.uk/2015/03/06/the-wo...r-510-5091862/

(For the non-Brits out there, Hula Hoops are a UK potato-based savoury snack)

There's just one problem with this story, it's not the world's longest Hula Hoop.

    How do I know this?

    *drum roll*

Because I, whatmeworry, own the world's longest Hula Hoop (or a longer one anyway).

    The world's "longest" Hula Hoop

I trust you have penned a suitably strong worded riposte to the Editor, and couriered your Hula Hoop to the offices of Guinness World Records for verification
On a technical note, neither seem to be hoop shaped? I'm no expert on this particular corner of the potato based snack universe
It's the final countdown! PM me before they're all gone!

Well, I have done the modern equivalent, left a comment on their Facebook page. My Hoop achieved some notoriety last year and made the front page of Reddit and BuzzFeed.
And yes, it's not really a Hoop, more a Tube.

Wow, I know a genuine internet phenomenon!
I have so many questions :-)
    Is it insured?
Decaying slowly or frighteningly pristine, held together by a deadly web of its preservative chemistry?
Kept in a safe at a secure location?
It's the final countdown! PM me before they're all gone!

As long as you didn't just cover a water pump hose with potato chip (crisp?) mulch that is nothing short of fantastic.

Not insured (I had no idea of the potential value until today)
Seems to be holding up fine given its age and still has a faint beefy smell to it.
I keep it sealed in a small (not that small, clearly) Tupperware container in my office.

I can assure you that no trickery was involved.
Here's what they're supposed to look like

Ok, seeing the picture now I know what you're talking about.
The most similar ones we have here I can think of offhand are called Corn Chips, or something like that.
