    Interesting...

So I'm in bed with man flu, trying to think of what watch I should get next (I have no idea); I'm browsing teh interwebs and I notice that there are quite a few rather interesting pieces that I'd never heard of. Like this Ball, with a thermometer

And this Longines with "Hours, minutes, seconds, internal rotating silvered dial for synchronization of the seconds hand with a radio time signal and rotating bezel to adjust to daily variations of the equation of time."

Wat?! The website doesn't elaborate. http://www.longines.com/watches/heri.../L2.713.4.11.0

On a slight tangent...look a this ridiculous crown!

I don't like any of them, but I just thought I'd share.

On a more serious note, I'm fascinated by that first Longines... Are they saying it's a radio controlled automatic? That sounds genius

Oh, I see. I think there saying you adjust the inner dial each day so that you can track how accurate the watch is. Maybe???

Have you ever seen the Longines you mention "in the metal"? You would probably change your mind, The Weems is quite impressive and very similar to the original; yes I've seen them both. But then again, the flu may be playing its tricks, the fever...

But most important: have a speedy recovery, Geoff!

    How cool is this

Monopusher Chrono. 47mm though - way too big.

Same size as the Lindberg, the Weems...and probably close to most real pilot watches of the 30s-40s, including the Zeniths recently "rehabilitated".

That one looks like it should have a 24 hour movement. Otherwise the hour hand will only be pointing at the correct hour marker once a day.

It does look pretty though. Way to big.
