    I don't usually give to charity, because I don't have any money, I abhor being asked to be sponsored for x (that the participant is usually only too happy to do anyway - my mate asked me to sponsor him to skydive! I paid good money to do mine) but my friend who never ever does any exercise is doing the marathon! So I sponsored him a tenner yesterday.

    Cool , I made two Date and Walnut cakes for my ex at christmas , who then sold it on for £1 a slice at a fundraising thing for a young carers charity .

    I try and do something each year: have done a couple of bike rides for Alzheimers and last year a walk for Marie Curie

    Doesn't 10% of the 10% go towards their fat pension too ?

    I guess what I meant was, I can understand why charities would want to pay top whack to have the best people leading them, if that means that overall they bring in more money.
