I'm on a period of abstinence at the moment, due to finish in a couple of weeks, but when I finish I'll be looking to make a mid-sized purchase as a number of financially beneficial events will be coinciding (I'll probably sell a few cheap pieces, plus it's my birthday, plus the car will finally be paid off, plus I'll not have frittered any money on watches for 7 weeks...)
I have my heart set on an Archimede Pilot 39H, I've wanted a classically sized flieger for a while and the Archimede ticks all the right boxes quality and size wise.
What I now have to decide is which model to go for....
Originally I was aiming for the steel...
...but then I saw GlennO's pics and review of the bronze version.
(borrowed pics)
I've never owned a bronze watch and love the idea that it will gain character as it ages, but it's a whacking 230 Euros more than the steel and the case material makes is a bit of an unknown for me.
230 Euros is enough for me to buy one of the 2nd gen Orange Monsters I've been hankering, so it comes down to a 2 vs 1 battle.
love the practicallity and that's a very handsome watch... i have problematic skin and sweat.. so i can only wear stainless or plastic like casio... (plated, brass/ bronze is a no-no)
For me it would have to be bronze. The Seiko will still be available when your budget has recovered and you're ready for another purchase.

would go bronze as they make a nice change I had bought a bronze watch to add some choice in my collection not as cool a choice as yours but I found it appealing at the time and still do but do like your's better haha
