Before I Go: A Stanford neurosurgeon’s parting wisdom about life and time
Rather moving piece on the Washington Post:
Before I Go: A Stanford neurosurgeon’s parting wisdom about life and time
And sadly, Dr. Kalanithi passed away on March 9th. His Stanford obituary is just as moving:
Paul Kalanithi, writer and neurosurgeon, dies at 37

I saw that a couple of days ago and remember when he first wrote about his cancer. An amazing and inspiring man.

I recall that as well. A truly remarkable man. He will be missed as he is remembered.

As a recent father, I felt the same way. My heart fell for him, his wife, and most importantly, his daughter.
The thought of that little girl growing up without such an amazing father is a terrible tragedy.
