    As an undergrad....my god, I'm pretty impressed with myself that I remembered this article!....we read an article on Trajan's column and why the frieze wraps around the column, forcing viewers to walk around the thing over and over. Pretty interesting. You can't see the article here, but you can read the abstract. It was a pretty cool idea.
