Cos he appears to have no hands, so any watch would just fall off the stump

G Shock. Probably a 6900? I heard those were popular with the Teams (if he ain't a SEAL, he's doing a damned fine impersonation).

Even a broken watch shows correct time once or twice a day. I ought to know, I have a few!

Well I'm seeing polished surfaces, which is about as helpful for not being seen as an orange vest, metal on metal which is going to clink at all the wrong moments and a lot of gear stored exactly where it's going to be bloody uncomfortable in any variation of the prone position so I assume it's a Rolex, a fake Rolex.

He's seeing bright metal (not blacked out) yes, but I doubt it's polished. Probably a brushed finish. And light weight aluminum carabiners (if that's what they are) are actually pretty quiet. I carry wrenches and other tools on them (though ostensibly, no one is trying to kill me...).

Due to his working environment (damaged Earth, not Elysium), I would say a G Shock.

I knew it was familiar. That doesn't look like the right equipment for a real soldier, so I assumed it was a production still. Saw Elysium a few weeks ago, and now it clicks. He's the South African crazy assassin guy.
