    The Simple Things in Life

So what are your favourite 'simple things'? For me, I get an immense amount of pleasure being near water. I could just sit on a rock by a river or lake and do nothing but listen and watch for hours. In fact, I have done so on many occasions. Sitting on my deck and watching nothing in particular but the trees and sky while enjoying a nice scotch and the odd cigar, well that's just another one, isn't it?

Solitude* amongst a natural surrounding... what could be simpler than that? And more pleasurable.

Just walking along, listening to the waves, sitting on a beach log.....nothing more complicated than that. I'm going there right now for an hour or two.

The simple luxury of time -- to read, listen to music, play with a Rubik's cube, post on IWL, or simply lounge about and ponder the meaning of it all.

Same here - The one thing I miss since moving from Bournemouth is the time I used to stroll down to the beach with just my thoughts and a few smokes, and listen to the waves lapping the sand.

I hope you can understand the simple bliss that is sleeping in on a Saturday morning (we're talking 8am here!) and waking up of your own accord, then find yourself on the receiving end of a back scratching.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.
