I know right. If I'm spending x amount of dollars on a watch we shouldn't need to butter up the dealer. I'll go somewhere else.

I heard story like this often nowadays
Come to the dealer wanting to buy a watch with crown logo,but since none are available they end up either buying from another brand or not buying at all...

My goodness, that compresses almost everything I don't like about watch collecting into one video. Sometimes it helps to learn by counter-example.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

I guess they weren't ready for a Rolex.
(I heard that the line "Are you ready for a Rolex?" was frequently used by AD salespeople on prospective buyers. A bit before this wait-list game.)
