is it sitting on the nut properly so it is winding it. I had one and the flywheel was the wrong one so it sat there and move like it should but it was not holding the nut in position to wind it up it was slipping around

I think it sitting properly. I can hear gear clicking when I wind the rotor with my finger.
It was workin when I first assembled it so ita strange that it stopped

so it worked fine at the start so it is right size ok then next is all the cogs tightly screwed in and their is no dirt jamming the cog to the flywheel ?

I can't see any dirt in it. I think I'll try take off the rotor tomorrow and have a look
