Just yesterday I swapped the strap on Kath's old Tudor OP to one that iyonk sent me a couple months ago. While it was naked, I was able to note the serial number between the lugs and check the date of manufacture: 1966 according to the various websites. No good quality fresh pix yet, just a quickie off my phone.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

PS: just got this offer from instagram DM

Wow, that's a nice looking watch. I put bids on Ebay for both versions of the new Shippo enamel dialed versions. My offers got declined. Oh well. They are generally going for more than retail now. Seiko really knows how to make a nice looking dial. I just wish they could make a watch smaller than 40mm and leave out the date. If that were the case, I might have increased my offers

I'll send you a hi-rez wristie when I get one later today. It must be 2 am there right now?

    Thanks!

I understand this is not a watch for everyone. In fact, Omega had a hard time selling this model. But I like it.
