I like the watch, but I wish they had a 38mm no date option

Or there’s Mido. Down to 39mm, but still with date. 2892 movement and just 6.95mm thick. Also available in black. Similar value to Certina.
Only slightly ruined by having ‘Heritage’ on the dial.
