do you honest think that maybe the top brands have run out of ideas I mean I dare not bring up the watch that got the last thread shut down

but some of their watches now are starting to look a bit generic and bland if I dare say it a bit blah .... have we run out of ideas maybe as their has to be a finite amount of options we can do to a watch ... and is thats why we are seeing a lot of watch company's starting to do re-issue of their early watches maybe ?

I’m guessing that there’s only a small crossover between the internet watch community and AP customers.

That's a very good question, Ismy.

This is hard to theorize so, I'm not arguing, just wondering:

1. If we go back, let's say to the 50s or to the 60s, aren't most design languages replicating the same elements? If we take a three hander from Zenith, UG, Omega or Longines, for example, don't they look pretty much the same? Isn't that a practical way to date a certain piece?

2. It's impossible to deny the growing attention pieces with a vintage vibe are getting today, and not only in the watch world. We know most of those so called vintage elements - despite many of them being pure culturally induced constructions - are sought after today.

3. Or maybe - just maybe - we're following this industry for so long, we start to become too hard to please? Did we loose our own ability to wonder?

Well, the community (if commentators on IG and the like is the community) have seen a few images and need to take it easy.

Reading the blogs (people actually handling some) they seem quite positive.
