Maybe in 2020 they're gonna make enamel dialled basic Seiko's too .................... with Spring Drive ........... and Jam on top

I mean I was looking at a new Presage with an proper enamel dial a week or so ago and it was only £700 ............... indeed I could get it for £499

I hope it's just a prototype, because the dial finishing looks appalling:

That's enamel though on an indented dial in close quarters .... I don't think it's ever gonna work with such small indentations

It should just be a plain flat or domed dial as a base imho... a small seconds indentation would probably work (like the Breguet)
The reserve quadrant and the date window recess just don't work well with enamel imho.

I was referring to the actual enamel coating - It's rough, rippled, and as patchy as can be. It should be a smooth, even coating; and if it's going to be a textured finish, it should be an even/uniform texture.
I could do a better job with a spray-can of Humbrol.
... and the date window cut-out looks unfinished, too.

To be honest, the only thing I can say about these watches is: they seem to have nice straps.

Nature of enamel sometimes. It's not flat so you can't diamond polish it.
