    I’d start with checking out Benrus’s logo at the time, and also whether laser engraving was a thing (my early 90s Aviator has die stamp engraved serial number: not sure when the technology switched over)

    My gut feeling is that that is more recent


    The world & his wife have done reissues of those Vietnam watches, even First Moscow Watch Factory with this Stolichnie movement that I used to own :-)

    yeah took a closer look at listing ( did not read the list at first as came up under the vintage search ) and was re-issue I thought Indian put together till I saw the back then thought cheaply done think looks it anyway but with 2 and half hours to go it's at £122

    It's a case of 'close but no cigar' for me.

    As above - The etched caseback completely lets it down ... a shame really because the dial was/is pretty good... EXCEPT: It shouldn't have 'BENRUS' on it. .... so, maybe not that good after all.
    The lugs are a bit skinny too, but I'd have let that slide if they'd gotten the other bits right.
