    Magazines

Anyone subscribe to any interesting magazines? I'm thinking of renewing my subscription to the New Yorker, but am open to other interesting reads. I'm also lazy, so give me some ideas!

There was a similar thread a while ago.

Personally, if I had to pick a few, I would say The Economist, Harper's, Granta, The Paris Review, and The Alpinist.

I am especially fond of The Paris Review, as Tom knows.

I've found that particularly in the past ten years I've given up reading magazines in favour of books. Not sure why, and I know it's faintly ridiculous, but if I read a magazine I feel like I'm wasting time that would be better spent on books.
In the past though, I've read and enjoyed:
    The Economist
    Edge
    Sight and Sound
    New Scientist

I used to - literally (that's quite licherally for Chronopolitano) decades ago.

I used to get Elektor , The New Statesman, 2000AD (OK, it's a comic) , Private Eye , Stereophile, Byte, Creative computing , Compute! .

Now ?........ naw don't bother with any apart from some free periodicals for work.

I switched to reading most stuff on-line instead of print a few years ago and not sure it that is a good or bad thing....
