    Wristwatch restoration according to William Gibson. Ahh, if only...

    I bought one of those Expedit bookshelves from IKEA yesterday. We wanted a temporary spot to display some of our books. While going through some books, I came across my copy of All Tomorrow's Parties, by William Gibson. Then I recalled OD3's mention of Gibson's interest in wristwatches, as he wrote about in an issue of Wired magazine some time ago.

    Here's a scene from the book that made me smile when I read it;

    Gibson, W. 1999, All tomorrow's parties, Viking, Australia.

    Would be nifty if it were real.

    Cool!

    How's the book? I've only read Neuromancer and its sequels by Gibson so far.

    Been some time since I read it, but it was pretty good. I'm a little rusty on what he's written in recent years, but I don't want to rush out and buy any of his works right now. Since nearly all of my books are packed away at the moment, I was slightly amused to find that I had two copies of some titles.
