    Film watch discovery

I don’t think we have one of these threads , discovering a particular mystery watch brand seen in a film ...

Anyway, I’ll start it off with this one... once discovered someone else might have one they want to find out about......

The film: No highway in the sky, 1951

    The mystery watch:

Note that the models I linked are similar but not the same, there's still work to do. (Provided that it's a WEW, indeed).

Yeah I can see that, but it’s looking pretty spot on so far, the only thing I don’t get is this sub brand of WEW - Sowar , it has that on the dial on the sample image , the one in the film didn’t , so maybe it’s quite an old watch in the film, as that sub brand didn’t come out ‘til 1917 ?

or maybe that sub brand wasn’t on every model ?

The rest of the cues are spot on though, it must be WEW

West End Watch immediately jumped into my head too. That curved script is pretty distinctive.

It didn't have to be branded Sowar.
I vaguely remember seing the 'cross hairs' logo in that place.
Also Google for images: west end watch longines.

Dar Adal from Homeland -- if you watch it, maybe you can find a clearer shot. Any takers so far, though?
