One of the hardest things about covering a show like SIHH is finding the signal through all the noise. There are so many new watches –*some with innovative new calibers and never-before-seen cases, others with just minor aesthetic updates – that it can be hard to know what to pay attention to. This is especially true after a few days spent learning about and photographing literally hundreds of watches and then talking to other watch-loving folks nonstop about the latest novelties. Luckily, at the end of our third day at SIHH 2019, our editors were able to pause for a moment, gather their thoughts, and put together a list of their top picks across a number of categories. The result: a collection of watches that you absolutely need to know about.
The A Lange & S๖hne Richard Lange Jumping Seconds was a favorite complication.
Richard Mille's new Bon-Bon collection was polarizing to say the least.
No watches were talked about more than CODE 11.59 by Audemars Piguet.
Despite being quartz, the Cartier Santos-Dumont was one of the most-loved watches of the show.
The above video offers a candid look at what was top-of-mind for our editors as they wrapped up SIHH 2019. In it, Jack asks the team about their favorite everyday watches, the biggest surprises they encountered during the show, what watches stood out as top "guilty pleasure" picks, and which complications were king. To be clear, this is far from an all-inclusive look at the worthwhile watches of SIHH 2019, but it gives you an honest sense of what new releases we couldn't stop talking about as we got ready to head home.
Be sure to check out our dedicated SIHH 2019 page if you haven't already – it will continue to be updated with all our coverage of the show, including hands-on looks at new watches, trend reports, and industry insights.
