Wow, Google Translate aactually did a really job for once!

Especially if you want to try a nice wristwatch made through the miracle of communism
Google translate is also weirdly good at early nineteenth century opera libretti.

Edit: don't know what your sentence is doing with the object in the singular

You and me both! I'm about three weeks into the obsession. Have something coming from France.

Welcome to vintage gnuyork - looking forward to pics!
I honestly don't think I'd have stuck with this hobby if modern watches came in reasonable sizes
I'd have just bought one and got on with the rest of life
Instead of which I discovered the wild variety, fascination and quirky history of vintage watches and suddenly found myself sharing digs with over a hundred of the little beauties, many made through the miracle of communism

Having a 2824 is like a particularly tricky Tamagotchi - you don't know how close to running down it is, but you do know that spoonfeeding it is bad for its long term health

Nah, you are not in danger. You only buy a watch every 10 year or so

No that's the point! Currently I want a Rolex which is no danger as I can't afford it. I could buy 5 £100 watches no problem though...
