Watch diet
Just curious what's the longest you have gone without purchasing a new watch. Looking at my history it looks like it was 14 months.

21 months, it looks -- that's the most notable break I register and I doubt there was a longer one earlier.

I can’t be sure, but it’s probably around nine months.

I have no idea, however, it probably has not been very long.

The last one I bought was in July 2018, but only for research purposes (bronze case) - doesn't count. A proper watch: January 2017. I've been very frugal, lately.

Trying to classify it as a research (or non-proper) watch doesn’t detract from the fact that you still bought a watch.....

Research purposes? Do the Rantanplan watches mean NOTHING to you!?
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

If you don't count my Suunto Core, which I don't, because I didn't spend any money on it and I only bought it to wear to the gym and you do count my Submariner, which was actually a gift, that makes it since June 2017. That's about 20 months.
Oh wait, shit. That's not right. I bought a Tudor Heritage Chrono blue, didn't I? That was March 2018, so that's 11 months at my current streak. Man, I can't believe I forgot about that. Such a nice watch, I just felt like it wasn't me when I was wearing it. Like I was wearing someone else's watch.
So 11 months is probably my longest stretch. It was 4 or 5 months from Black Bay to Ranger, then about 7 months from Ranger to Submariner. Before then, it was much more frequent.
