    Collection, what collection?

OK, I finally admit to having a watch collection beyond my beloved 1979 Poljot 3017 Strela
    Here's some pics as proof:

More to follow when I've got some decent pics
My quandary has been that I've worn the Strela for months on end, feeling no need for another watch
There's at least 30 more under my roof, and I do feel that watches exist to be worn. So some (many) will move on.
I'd just forgotten I had quite so many cool ones, sigh
It's the final countdown! PM me before they're all gone!

Do hope you'll do some thinking aloud as you mull your way through the Circles of Your Collection

So I don't know how other people do it, but I seem to have phases of buying very similar watches
First it was little black watches:
Smiths Jewelled, Vostok Kama, HMT Pilot

I then had a thing for square watches:

And after trawling through loads of inexpensive obscure Swiss field watches, I found my ideal field-inspired watch in this 90s Poljot Alarm

    Collection, what collection?

Other things I've enjoyed have been chronos, colour and the off-beat..
    First, chronos
    I loved the 1963 and my 6138-3002

But the hunt was on for the perfect compliment to the Strela. Preferably with functional lume and not too huge
The mid 80s civvie 3133 failed on both counts, but is a lovely watch

The Ollech & Wajs has great lume but is a bit slab-sided, and the broad arrow frustrates me (this was never an issue watch)

Inspired by arktika's smaller 3133 Sturmanskie, I found this subwave, which was Poljot's short-lived internet brand (1992)

Nice wrist profile, and very svelte for a 3133, seen here with the Strela
And I do have a BNIB Aviator 3133, which doesn't really do it for me (busy & big)

And a 3133 powered Junkers, (centre) -again nice but too big on me

And I've not mentioned the 1950 Junghans J88 I got before the Strela, just a bit too classy for daily wear

OK, I admit to a slight chrono addiction :-)

Often tempted by the 6138-3002s on ebay..... amazing seventies design doesn't *have* to be loud and craggy

How on earth do you manage to just wear one watch when you have so many beauties to choose from!???

It *is* a nice bit of kit
Well executed, stylishly simple. I love the cleanness of the batoned dial, and the subtle layering of chapter ring and sub-dials. The surprising yellow hands, and the way the dial is blue in some lights, grey in others
I got the 9119 as a smaller alternative (funnily enough I've never directly compared them on the wrist)

Really interesting, diverse, and attractive selection, OhDark30. I, for one, understand the pleasure of wearing the same watch every day!

    Cheers Olly!
Errm, because I'm quite forgetful? :-)
This is making me realise just *how* nice some of them are
I think I probably need to sell off the outliers and focus on the cool ones, maybe even (shock) organise some sort of rotation
