Thread: WRUW! Super early **** Friday April 10th WRUW thread! ****

After nearly four years of some pretty hard wear I noticed the watch my wife gave me for my fiftieth birthday was looking a tad scruffy. I refreshed the case and bracelet last night and now it is on my wrist.

The Centrix was conceived as a replacement for the Florence, Rados entry level model. It was meant to be a available only with quartz. At the very last minute, THE VERY LAST MINUTE, Rado popped an auto in one version and stuck a display back on. While it shows a bog standard 2824 it is at least modestly decorated. Curiously, subsequent Rados that are significantly more expensive have display backs with more poorly decorated movements, in line with some of the lower end Seikos.

    Thank you.

It is the first of the current Rados. This particular version crosses the 1950s/60s
Starliner with some ultra modern touches, the hands for instance.
