my choice for a 'higher end sports watch'

At one point, I was considering these:
Cartier Calibre Diver - ss on bracelet: too busy
VC overseas 3 hander - white dial: date window placement & shape kills me
Breguet Marine - the one with the blued hands: it will scratch the moment u breath on it & the
    GO 70s in blue
with 3 of them having no functional bezel...

This one won easily...although I am super keen on a blue dialed VC overseas chronograph

perfect size. classic lineage. one of the best chrono movements ever.

great design, curvy and sexy as hell

the red adds a dash of character

i like the PCL on this

wore this the most after the SubC

    coupla other favorites

this trio should cover all needs eh

I'm planning on a Daytona within the next year and half or so. Pretty torn though, I like the looks of the zenith powered white daytona, but I am really taken with the 4130 movement in the current ref! Anyway enjoy!

ps. Did you just get this? I recall seeing pictures of your two tone Daytona but cant remember seeing the steel.

pps. VC overseas looks pretty great if you're considering it. The Maltese cross bracelet looks really cool. Personally think the chrono dial looks better than the time only one.

the 2t came first..this was later last year. adding content to this site
it was the 4130 and newer bracelet that pushed me over.

No, it IS the best [automatic] chrono movement ever.

On an unrelated note, I think this'd look great on you Mick!

When the time comes to buy Swiss for me (maybe in about a year?) I'm getting the regular 3 hand version polo. Absolutely comfortable (thin, titanium and rubber strap is top quality), noticeable (it's 45mm) but in a GOOD way, classy as, 85hrs PR (!!), display back, and a bit different.
