I watched The Paper, a forgotten film from 1994. It was excellent, I give it a solid A. In fact, I’d go so far as to say this is all but required viewing. It inspired me to snap out of my 9 month hiatus from my blog (in all fairness, I’ve had a lot going on, including working on a novel that I’m now 60,000 words into or so).

Fantastic fight scenes and loved the fact that bystanders let them play out. I agree required viewing

(I remember I never finished Oldboy by the same director, now I feel like it's time to go back to that and rewatch in full).

The Handmaiden -- what an absolutely stunning film! No weak points, really: the plot, the composition, the twists, the eroticism, and the artful photography -- can't recommend enough if you have 2h40min+ (extended cut) to spare. (I remember I never finished Oldboy by the same director, now I feel like it's time to go back to that and rewatch in full).

Mental film Sexy and f'ed up. Extended. The version I mean...

The Whale -- no idea why all the hype about it and standing ovations for Fraser... Nicely theatrical and that was the best thing about to me; 7/10, just because I coudldn't give it 6.5.

It was OK at best. Not a the most interesting story.

"Joker", not bad not as good as his prior Joker. He is a great actor and Gaga is equally good! Almost a musical! 7.5/10

"Beetlejuice", again not as good as the original, mildly entertaining 6.5/10
