Thread: Roadtrip Partner

    Roadtrip Partner

You are taking a road trip across the country with a movie character. Best partner? Worst? Each (best and worst) must have been played by the same actor. (example: Mel Gibson as Mad Max = best; Mel as Hamlet = worst).

    I'll play.

Best: Jeff Bridges as Jeff Lebowski from The Big Lebowski.

Worst: Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn from True Grit.

Perhaps I could think of something better, but that's what popped into mind.

Well, I wanted to say Geena Davis as Thelma for the worst (since that has to be the worst roadtrip ever), and then I realized I couldn't think of any character she'd ever played with whom I'd actually WANT to roadtrip. Ditto Louise since between that one and Rocky Horror, Susan Sarandon seems to jinx anyone with whom she rides shotgun.

I briefly flirted with Dennis Weaver as David in Duel but then finally settled on the worst roadtrip partner ever: Rutger Hauer as John Ryder.

Best: Rutger Hauer as Navarre because what woman can resist a man who will risk all for love.
